National External Quality Assurance Requirements

  • Accreditation of educational programmes
    It is mandatory for doctoral programmes and programmes of regulated professions (Medicine, Law, Teacher Education, Veterinary, and Maritime) and it is an eligibility requirement for state funding in the case of all other study programmes.
  • Authorization and re-authorisation of higher education institutions
    is obligatory for all HEIs in order to be allowed to carry out educational activities and to issue a diploma that is recognized by the state (every six years)
