Information on the agency's work

HAC was established in 1993 and has been an ENQA member since 2000. HAC is a national-level, independent body of experts conducting external evaluations of the quality of higher education institutions in Hungary. It elaborates its own rules of procedure and criteria for evaluation. With a new president since September 2016 and the completion of the third institutional accreditation cycle, a new strategy is in place that aims to promote proactively the internal quality assurance of institutions.
