Report summary
Group of experts critically evaluated study program Management of International Logistics, proposed by the College of Transport and Logistics, and concluded that it is very well conceived and modern. The program is appropriately composed according to the subject area and the proposed professional title. The syllabus adequately and proportionally represents subjects from different fields, which consistently complement each other and are substantively related. The curriculum also fully corresponds to the goals of the study program and leads to the acquisition of defined competencies or learning outcomes. As this is a professional undergraduate undergraduate program, it is expected that the professional contents are emphasized, which this program fully provides with its curricula. The order of subjects by semesters and years is appropriate. The contents of the courses are vertically and horizontally connected accordingly. The number of courses in the syllabus is relatively large (33 units), but the concept of courses with a number of credits between 4 and 6 ECTS is well and consistently taken into account according to the importance and weight of each course. The applicant extensively and thoroughly presented and substantiated the connection between the contents of the study program, both in relation to basic knowledge and to current contents and development trends in the profession. In doing so, they highlighted and quite successfully integrated trends related to sustainable mobility, business digitization and international aspects of logistics. Sustainable mobility and the circular economy could be given even more emphasis on the first revision of the program than they have now, when they are mainly part of individual courses. At the same time, it would be good to harmonize the scope and detail of information on the contents of the courses. The performed analyzes of the needs of the employment environment, the labor market and the employability of graduates or the needs for knowledge and goals of 19 the company demonstrate the justification of the proposed study program. Group of experts proposes the organization of training for internship mentors in companies. The envisaged methods, forms and implementation of teaching correspond to the type, level and goals of the study program. The proposed holders and performers of courses demonstrate valid habilitations in appropriate fields, depending on the contents of the courses. The founder of the institute has concluded a long-term lease agreement for business premises that meet the needs of the implementation of the study program. The premises are accessible to people with reduced mobility, the equipment for the implementation of the study process is present, but it is not specially adapted for people with special needs. If necessary, the founder undertakes to provide additional equipment. A library with a qualified librarian is available to students. The conditions for enrolment and promotion to the senior year are clearly defined for full-time and part-time students. Methods of assessment of knowledge are specified for all courses in the curricula. The professional title obtained after completing the study corresponds to the legal basis. -
