TPG-LRC Plus
Fostering LRC implementation in the EHEA
The TPG-LRC Plus project, coordinated by CIMEA, has the main aim of supporting the implementation of the Bologna Process, focusing on key commitment 2 on national legislation and procedures compliant with the Lisbon Recognition Convention (LRC) in the countries being part of the Thematic Peer Group B (TPG B).
In line with goals of the Bologna Process and the Tirana Communiqué, three specific objectives have been identified:
- To strengthen the TPG B capacity in order attaining a more even implementation of the six specific thematic indications identified by the BGUG for the Group and under the aegis of the BICG.
- To enhance ownership and information sharing between national authorities, higher education institutions and other relevant stakeholders.
- To strengthen cooperation and sharing of practices between stakeholders involved in recognition processes.
Enhancing the interoperability of DEQAR as a tool for automatic recognition
EQAR’s main contribution within the project will be to enhance the interoperability of the DEQAR as a tool for automatic recognition. It is also a key partner to focus on quality assurance.

To achieve the general objective, the project will focus on the six specific thematic indications identified by the Bologna Follow-Up Group (BFUG) for the TPG B which were reconfirmed for the mandate 2024-2027:
- Legal framework in compliance with the LRC.
- Distribution of work and responsibilities among the competent institutions for the recognition process.
- Automatic recognition.
- Alternative pathways.
- Qualifications held by refugees.
- Digital technology for the recognition agenda.
The project will start in June 2025 ad will last three years.
