A group of experts evaluated the higher education degree programme in nursing and the Master's degree programme in health sciences. The results were based on an analysis of the documentation of the self-evaluation reports, interviews with stakeholders and a tour of the implementation of the study programmes. The key findings, benefits and areas for improvement are presented below. The self-evaluation report, which is prepared separately for both study programmes, involves all key stakeholders and represents an important step in ensuring the quality of education. The process is appropriately structured and enables the participation of all stakeholders. The physiotherapy degree programme is well developed in terms of research, staff and equipment, which confirms the decision to create an independent degree programme. The expert group proposes that consideration be given to renaming the Health Sciences programme to Integrative Health Sciences, as its content is closely related to this area. The curricula are clear, meaningful and contain relevant references. In the area of support and study conditions, good practise in the use of modern ICT (e-classrooms, lecture recording, tutoring), high quality laboratory facilities, structured clinical practise with mentoring and the flexibility of part-time study are emphasised. The Health Sciences degree programme is also offered in English due to the interest shown by foreign students. The Institute has defined measures to increase the mobility of both students and foreign teaching staff. At the same time, the Institute has defined opportunities to support assistants at the beginning of their careers and teaching staff on sabbatical. The literature in the curricula is updated to reflect current developments in the profession. The active work of the Student Council and the Alumni Club, which contribute to academic and social activities, is positive. The main opportunities lie in improving the transparency of information, updating the curricula and involving students and staff more closely in quality processes.
