The organization of quality management is adapted to the size of VIST, quality management is the responsibility of the Quality Management Committee, which usually meets quarterly in regular meetings throughout the academic year. The self-evaluation report (SER) plan takes place in two phases. In the first phase, before each new academic year, they define objectives at all levels of the institution's operation and stakeholders for data collection and editing. In the second stage, after the completion of the regular part of the study process, the realization of the set goals is reviewed and the timetable for the implementation of the SER is drawn up, which runs from August to March of the following academic year. At the end of February, the Commission submits the SER to the Senate and the Administrative Committee for amendments. The SEP is approved by the Senate, then presented to the Academic Assembly, and forwarded by e-mail to all stakeholders. All SERs are published on the VIST website. The quality of study programs is monitored in appropriate ways. The actuality of the courses is checked and updated and coordinated with the faculty management. Self- evaluation involves employees and external collaborators. Students are encouraged to participate, but their response is modest. Based on the results of the self-evaluation in 2020, the study program Cosmetics 1st level was divided into two areas of study (Cosmetics and Podology). It was implemented in a renewed form with the academic year 2021/22. The program is designed to differentiate services in the field of cosmetics according to education. The development of Podology is also connected with the regulation of the field of pedicure-podology, which is managed by VIST and carried out with the support of the Ministry of Health. During the renovation, the staff and material conditions for the implementation of the new Podology program were supplemented. In the 2020/2021 academic year, changes were also introduced regarding the completion of studies (diploma examination five years after the academic year of enrolment in the 3rd year and the possibility of graduation termination 10 years after the academic year of enrolment in the 3rd year) and the possibility of graduating based on performed works. The development of the profession and study programs is also followed by scientific research and professional work, which is evident from the list of projects (ARIS, MZ, SRIP) implemented by VIST and in which pedagogical staff (regular and contractual employees) and students are involved. They also collaborate with domestic and foreign companies. They carry out clinical studies for food supplements and research on cosmetic products, equipment techniques and procedures for clients from the industry. The implementation of projects and industrial research into study programs has a positive impact on the professional competencies of VIST graduates. The curriculum is largely tailored to the needs of students. The adjustments relate to the implementation and adaptation of contact hours, the additional examination deadlines and how they are carried out. Individual contact hours are also available for students. According to the findings of the self-evaluation, they maintain a hybrid mode of implementation of the study program. Optimization of the hybrid implementation of individual courses is adapted to the specifics of the course and the wishes of the students. The flexibility of the faculty is also evaluated positively by pedagogical staff, who are mostly external collaborators. NAKVIS experts believe that flexibility should be regulated by internal documents, which will clearly define what adjustments are allowed to students. The faculty also offers students a wide range of additional activities, which, based on information in SER, are poorly attended. Organized forms of tutoring are not offered by the faculty due to the lack of students' interest. During the academic year, so-called study clubs are organized within the framework of some subjects, which to some extent replace the need for tutoring. Library activity is available to students as part of a contract with CTK and NUK. All students have a membership fee to CTK and NUK included in the tuition fee, and can also access various materials through a wide range of different databases. The faculty also has two smaller departmental libraries, and loans are arranged by the Department of Study Affairs. All required professional literature is listed for each course and published in the MS Teams online classroom. Basic and additional materials are also available to students in electronic form through the online classroom, they also have their written materials, which are regularly updated. Practical education (PI) takes place in the 3rd study year. The faculty has umbrella contracts with employers who have mentors with appropriate education. The student may start PI when approved by the Study Committee after assessing the suitability of the employer, the mentor, and the planned work and tasks that the student should perform at the employer. Student satisfaction with PI is very high. In the context of the final report, they also give their opinion on the quality and usefulness of the PI as well as the advantages and disadvantages of the employer. The SER shows an improvement in the ongoing performance of PI obligations, which in the past was a problem at the completion of studies. Timetables are appropriately adapted to the study program for both full-time and part- time studies. Communication between students and staff is mostly done through electronic media, but students also have the option of live contact, which they rarely use. Students are properly acquainted with the conditions for carrying out study obligations and the methods for checking knowledge and the structure of the assessment. The possibility of a complaint against the assessment is regulated by the Statute. Regular examination dates are announced at the beginning of each semester, if necessary, additional examination dates are also announced. Students are kept informed through student e-mail addresses, e-bulletin boards, websites, and through representatives of the class in the Student Council. The study program is carried out by teachers with appropriate education and professional experience. Although most of the employees are contractual collaborators, the work is properly organized and enables high-quality implementation of education and operation of VIST. External collaborators emphasized the quality support of professional services and also the involvement in other activities of the faculty. The faculty informs its stakeholders and the public about study programs and their activities in an appropriate manner. However, we recommend the establishment of an Alumni Club, which will enable a more organized connection of the faculty with graduates and potential employers. In conclusion, we would like to highlight the high commitment of the VIST management to the development and quality of the implementation of study programs and the professional and scientific development of the faculty.
