In the process of extending the extra-ordinary accreditation of the Faculty of Design, the commission evaluated both study programs, proposing to the Council of the Agency that most of the indications detected by the previous commission have been fulfilled. During the extraordinary evaluation, the group of experts also checked all the recommendations of the previous commission. During its work, the commission identified many recommendations regarding advantages and suggestions for improvement of individual courses, but did not discover inconsistencies in operation. Our joint call is for the Faculty of Design to step even more boldly into the Slovenian and international space, to strengthen its capacities in terms of teaching staff, to build first of all on its tradition, mission and vision, to strengthen student integration and internal integration, cooperation among graduates (as mentors for specific fields) and connects and is also involved in various multidisciplinary events and projects, and persistently records this on its website. In addition, it can become even more involved in the Erasmus, Cmepius and other international programs, thereby securing additional funding resources. In addition, it should strengthen its visibility both in the area of education, as well as in the business and artistic areas. THE COMMISSION CONCLUDES UPON THE INSPECTION ON 4/6/2023 The NAKVIS Commission, composed of Matej Mušič, Ph.D. Nina Simončič and dr. Andreja Kopač and found irregularities. The commission gave priority consideration to the opinions and proposals of the commission f rom two years ago and notes the following: 1) By acquiring new premises in Dunajska, the Faculty of Design fully met the requirements set out in the decision of the NAKVISS council f rom two years ago. 2) You set clear criteria for criteria in the titles, appropriate scoring of habilitations and avoided all forms of conflict of interest in habilitation procedures. 3) You have supplemented the curricula with references f rom holders in the field of artistic activity 4) Students are more actively involved in the procedures of the Faculty. 5) The library space has increased, and the literature has also been updated. 6) Students have enough space to develop their projects, the equipment for implementing the study program is updated, for example color printers, laser cutters, sewing machines, ICT equipment. 29 Handouts / Opportunities: 1) References of all lecturers and photos are added to the website. 2) Proposal to introduce literature in the field of philosophy and aesthetics, which would enable conceptual thinking. 3) Continuation of the search for a librarian. 4) More flexible schedule of part-time students 5) Greater involvement of students in the quality committee. 6) External colleagues are included more in the strategy of the faculty's operation and their possible wishes for full-time employment and the involvement of former students are listened to. 7) Trans disciplinary cooperation (several disciplines that include science, professions, humanities) in the direction of the vision and development of the Faculty of Design in the direction of micro-specialization 8) Entering the market already during schooling and greater cooperation with nongovernmental organizations. Advantages / Praise: 1) Sustainability orientation, teamwork. 2) Quick response, promptness, listening, respect. 3) International connection with both the domestic and international environment, interdisciplinarity. 4) Mobility of both students and professors. 5) Individual work of each professor, online gallery, Rog center, students highlighted the ability to recognize initiative. 6) Perceived common belonging, identity, continuous improvement of programs and processes. 7) Organization of meetings with Alumni. 8) Online innovative approaches. 9) Cooperation with the external environment, with entrepreneurs and the possibility of employment. 10) Collaborative learning - new innovative forms, the importance of cooperation in purchasing projects. In its final report, the commission also took into account the answers or explanations of the Faculty of Design from July 3, 2023 and included them in the final report. -
