National External Quality Assurance Requirements

  • Accreditation of study programmes
    granted for a period of up to ten years. Rejected application for accreditation can be resubmited after two years
  • Institutional accreditation
    granted for a period of ten years or five years (if the previous application of the higher education institution was rejected). Higher education institution that were awarded institutional accreditation within a field are authorised to approve their own study programmes within the accreditated field. (see below Government Regulation No. 274/2016 on standards for accreditation in higher education).
