Report summary
The Faculty of Theology of the University of Ljubljana has proposed for accreditation the study programme Human and Interpersonal Relationships. The study programme is a redesigned program of the existing first cycle Bachelor's degree programme in Theological and Religious Studies. The programme has two study courses: Theological and Religious Studies and Marital and family therapy and counselling. The professional titles, depending on the field of study completed, are: Bachelor of Theological and Religious Studies (UN) and Bachelor of Family Counselling (UN). Bachelor's degree programme in Human and Interpersonal Relationships with a new study course Marital and Family Therapy and Counselling fills a gap in the study programme offer and provides the opportunity to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to successful study in the second cycle of the Master's degree programme in Marital and Family Studies, which is already offered at the Faculty of Theology. The expert group highlighted three strengths and three opportunities. -

Report summary
As part of a sample evaluation of the undergraduate professional programme in Occupational Therapy offered by the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Health Sciences (UL ZF), the expert panel found that the higher education institution meets the quality standards set out in the Criteria for accreditation and external evaluation of higher education institutions and study programmes. The evaluation confirmed that the programme is well developed in terms of content and internationally comparable, with clearly defined objectives, competences and learning outcomes. The institution has developed a comprehensive internal quality assurance system that involves all key stakeholders. The self-evaluation processes are regular, well documented and supported by data analyses. However, there is room for improvement in informing certain stakeholders (e.g. students and clinical mentors) about the results and follow-up of these analyses. The implementation of the programme is aligned with its objectives and competency outcomes. Teaching approaches are based on the concept of active learning and a strong integration of theory and practise. Clinical training is well organised and the tutor system works effectively. An important area for improvement is the need for a systematic review of timetables as the current structure has a negative impact on student workload and attendance. The institution regularly updates the curriculum in line with developments in the field and the guidelines of international professional organisations. New subjects have been introduced to address current challenges, such as climate change and early intervention. The positive assessment by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) confirms the developmental orientation of the programme. The structure of the teaching staff is interdisciplinary and professionally appropriate. However, research activity remains unevenly developed, particularly when comparing departments within the institution. Academic staff enjoy autonomy and have access to various forms of support and funding for professional development. An important indicator of the long-term sustainability of the programme is the active involvement of junior staff in doctoral studies, which supports generational renewal. In terms of communication, the institution utilises a wide range of channels, although it would be advisable to improve opportunities for anonymous feedback and present these options to students during induction sessions. The alumni community could also play a more active role in evaluation and programme development. The institution provides a stable and developmental environment that allows for quality delivery of the programme and sustainable development of the field of occupational therapy. The recommendations resulting from this evaluation provide a valuable opportunity for even more strategic planning for improvement, which is also suggested by the institution’s response to the expert panel’s report. The institution has outlined concrete and time-bound measures for most of the identified opportunities, addressing the majority of the panel’s recommendations. -
