Job opportunity: Executive Officer

Are you interested in working for a European public-interest organisation in the field of quality assurance of higher education?

We are a small team offering a dynamic and international workplace, closely linked to current policy developments in the Bologna Process and European cooperation in higher education. We are looking for a highly motivated Executive Officer.

Your main responsibilities would be:

  • Operational management and administrative support
    – Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the EQAR office.
    – Liaise with external service providers.
    – Provide transversal and comprehensive administrative support.
  • Internal communication
    – Oversee and manage the central document repository of EQAR: curating content and managing user accounts.
    – Conducting rounds of annual updates with EQAR members and registered quality assurance agencies.
  • External communication
    – Serve as the first point of contact for the Secretariat.
    – Project communication and dissemination.
    – Coordinate the production of the EQAR Annual Report.
    – Draft, edit, and publish content for the EQAR website and official social media channels, monitor analytics and plan follow-up.
    – Compile and distribute the quarterly EQAR Newsletter.
    – Editorial support for the drafting of EQAR official publications.
  • Event organisation
    – Take the lead in the logistical planning and execution of all EQAR (statutory) meetings.
    – Coordinate event logistics for EQAR’s involvement in European projects.
    – Organise an occasional networking event (such as a reception, promotional event etc.).

Your ideal profile:

  • Experience and skills
    – Minimum f two years of professional experience in office management and administrative support.
    – Language: Excellent, native-level command of written and spoken English and a working knowledge of French and/or Dutch.
    – Proficiency in text processing software (e.g. Microsoft Office and similar)
    – Experience in international NGOs/associations in Belgium.
