Extraordinary General Assembly in Brussels approves budget 2026
The Extraordinary General Assembly convened on 15 October at the Centre Borschette in Brussels.
The meeting had been called for the approval of the Budget 2026 and to discuss the potential revision of the EQAR membership fees structure.
After a presentation by EQAR Director Aleksandar Šušnjar on the income and expenditure of EQAR, including overviews of the various categories over a period of five years, members unanimously approved the budget for the year 2026.
Another important agenda item was the potential revision of the EQAR membership fees structure. Members were invited to consider the report of the EQAR Membership Fees Task Force and decide on the restructuring of the EQAR membership fees between Governmental Members and Founding Members / Social Partners.
Members agreed to pause the automatic indexation of the membership fees of these stakeholder members in 2026 as a temporary measure, and voted to reduce their fees in the 2027 budget, which will result in a slightly smaller EQAR budget as of that year.

Following this discussion, the General Assembly provided input and asked questions on the revision of the Procedure for Applications (the binding regulations for the applications of QA agencies).
Last but not least the General Assembly confirmed a replacement member of the EQAR President Selection Committee, due to one member leaving.
