Information on the agency’s work
The AHPGS promotes the quality and transparency of university study courses through accreditation procedures in Germany and internationally as well as system accreditation. AHPGS is accredited by the German Accreditation Council. Furthermore, AHPGS is authorised by the Swiss “Federal Department of Economic Affairs” (EVD) to assess accreditation applications of Swiss universities of applied sciences.

| Specialisation: |
The focus of AHPGS’ work is to guarantee uniform and international comparable quality standard in the new Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and especially in the area of Health and Social Sciences through accreditation procedures. Therefore a continual information exchange with other national and international accreditation agencies as well as university representatives, practitioners’ organisations and associations will be realised. Besides that, AHPGS is authorised by the German Accreditation Council for system accreditation. |

Accreditation procedures and assessments for study programmes are based on the "Criteria for the Accreditation of Study Programmes", assessments for system accreditation are based on the "Criteria for system Accreditation" of the German Accreditation Council. |
