The Austrian Agency for Quality Assurance (AQA) is an independent institution for quality assurance, accreditation, certification and evaluation for all kinds of higher education. AQA develops and conducts quality assurance procedures in acccordance with national and European standards. It operates in Austria and other European countries.

AQA is a non-profit organisation operating in all sectors of higher education (public and private universities, universities of applied sciences, teacher training colleges). It is officially recognised by the Austrian authorities. Since June 2009 AQA is also recognised by the German Accreditation Council as an accreditation agency for German HEI. |
